Ancient tombs and cave paintings in a nature park, geyser lake, that stays unfrozen even in winter, Martian landscapes of Chagan-Uzun and colored rocks of Kyzyl-Chin Mars-1 don’t leave anybody indifferent. You will have photo shoots in the most picturesque spots at dawns and sunsets for catching the best light.

Itinerary
The journey starts in Moscow where you should travel on your own. We are ready to assist with the purchase of tickets. If necessary, leave a comment in the order.
Day 1 Barnaul — Zamulta village
The guide will meet you at the airport or railway station. You will be transferred to Zamulta village in Ust-Koksinsky district (750 km, 12 hours). On the way there will be a stop for the migration registration procedures. Luggage that is not needed in mountains can be left in a storage. You will have lunch in a café.
The road goes along the famous Chuysky Tract and passes its highest point Seminsky Pass (1800 m above sea level) and Uimonsky Pass. Not far from Ust-Kan village you will see the cave entrance on the mountainside. After Kyrlyk Pass you will go through Abai steppe. Impressive views with meadows and a blue Cocks river are waiting for you in this journey. A steep cliff of Gromotuha Pass will get your adrenaline going.
Upon arrival in Zamulta village, you will accommodate in summer houses and have dinner. You can also visit sauna here.
Day 2 Multinsky Lakes
After breakfast, you will move to the Lower Multinsky Lake (15 km by car, 6 km by foot, 2 hours). It is located in 1710m altitude. Its length is 2370 m, maximum width is 900 m. The road to the lake passes along Mikhailovka River and Krepkaya river.
You will accommodate in summer houses. After dinner, you will have a walk along Lower Multinsky Lake to the 'Shumy' ridge, where water passes through the rocks. You will admire a magnificent view of the Lower Multinsky Lake, Middle Multinsky Lake and glaciers of the Upper Multinsky Lake. After coming back to the camp, you will relax by the fire.
Day 3 Kuiguk waterfall and lake
You will meet sunrise on 'Shumy' ridge. After having breakfast in the camp, you will collect equipment and products for spending one night on the river Kuiguk. You will have a horse trip to the river Kuyguk valley with a water fall and lake. On the way you will see amazing landscapes — mountains, glaciers and rivers. After passing 9 km (2-2,5 hours), you will reach a spectacular Kuyguk waterfall which is 30 meters high.
Kuyguk lake is located 300 meters further. It is surrounded by high mountains with glaciers, streams and alpine flowers. The lake is about one kilometer long, 500 meters wide and has a beautiful turquoise color.
In the evening you will have dinner by fire. Tonight, you will stay in tents.
Day 4 Back to the Lower Multinsky Lake
At sunrise you will have a shooting in Kuyguk valley. After breakfast, with horses you will return to the Lower Multinsky Lake (1 km by foot, 9 km by horse, 4 hours), have a picnic and some rest in summer houses. In the evening dinner is waiting for you.
Day 5 Ethno-natural park Uch-Enmek
Today with Gaz-66 you will return to 'Multinsky lakes' camping in Zamulta village (15 km, 2 hours). From here, with a minivan you will be transferred to Chuysky tract to the ethno-natural park Uch-Enmek (285 km, 6 hours). Here, you will see a lot of ancient tombs and cave paintings. On the way you will have a lunch at a roadside café.
You will accommodate in Karakol hotel and have dinner in a café. There is an option to order a concert of local singing.
Day 6 Transfer to Kurai village
This day you will have an excursion to Kurai village not far away from Mongolian border. The way goes through the scenic Chike-Taman pass (1470 m above sea level). You will see a lot of beautiful places: the spectacular Ilgumenskiy rift on Katun river with rocks up to 4 meters, Chuya sands and archaeological monuments, Chui and Katun rivers confluence. Kalbak-Tash tract, a large natural complex with rock paintings – petroglyphs, is also waiting for you in the journey.
After lunch in a café, you will have a walk to the picturesque geyser lake, that is unfrozen even in winter. You will stay overnight in a camping not far from the Kuray village. Total itinerary of the day — 215 km by car (8 hours), 2 km by foot (1 hour).
Day 7 Chagan-Uzun landscapes
After breakfast, there will be a sunrise photoshoot. Then, you will be transferred to Chagan-Uzun river, where you will admire Martian landscapes and colored rocks of Kyzyl-Chin Mars-1.
Afterwards, you will go to Kuray village and Jangyskol lake. Here, you will stay in tents. Total itinerary of the day — 60 km by car, 40 km by off-road jeep, 6 km by foot.
Day 8 Jangyskol lake — Chibit village
Half of the day you will spend on the lake. Then, a transfer to Chibit village is waiting for you. Here, you will accommodate in houses and have dinner at the fire.
Total itinerary of the day — 40 km by off-road jeep, 60 km by car.
Day 9 Transfer to Barnaul
This day you will depart to Barnaul (610 km by car). On the way you will have a stop at 'Arzhan-Suu' spring. There is silver, copper and other minerals in water. You can visit a large bazaar with souvenirs nearby.
Barnaul will be reached at around 19:00. You will accommodate in a city hotel.
Day 10 End of journey
You will be transferred to Barnaul airport or railway station.
Accommodation during the trip
You will stay in summer houses in Zamulta village, near Multinsky lakes and in Chibit village. One night you will spend in camping near Kuray village.
Two nights you will stay in tents — in Kuyguk valley and not far away from Jangyskol lake.
In Barnaul and in Uch-Enmek ethno-natural park you will stay in double rooms in hotels. In Karakol hotel in the ethno-natural park rooms are with shared facilities.

The issue of border permit is included in the tour.
We highly recommend to get a tick-borne encephalitis vaccination, especially for May-June arrivals. In Russia vaccination is done in 2 parts. The first vaccine is made 45 days before arrival to Russia. The second vaccine — 7-14 days before arrival to the Altai region.
The vaccination process might differ in your country. For details, please contact your doctor. If you are not willing to go through vaccination process, please, be assured that your medical insurance covers tick-borne encephalitists.
