You will learn about the culture and life of indigenous people of the Taymyr Peninsula, take part in the shamanic rituals and try to create a traditional souvenir made of horns of a wild reindeer.

Itinerary
The journey begins in Norilsk, where you should get to on your own. We recommend a flight with S7 Airlines arriving in Norilsk at 7:50 am on the first day of the tour (departing Moscow the day before at 11:25 pm). We are ready to help with tickets purchasing. If necessary, leave a comment in the application.

Day 1 Arrival in Norilsk
In the morning you will be met at Norilsk airport and taken to the cafe for breakfast (extra charge). At 12:30 am you will start a boat trip to Lama lake. The way lies along the Norilskaya and Talaya rivers, as well as Melkoe (Rus. for "Shallow") lake.
After reaching Lama lake, you will land on Kamenny (Rus. for "Stone") Peninsula, near the mountain river Vitaminnaya. From there you will take a light hiking route to the guest house (your goods will be taken to by boat). You will cross the mountain river Kapchuk, then walk along the shore of the lake.
When you reach the guest house, you will be accommodated and rest. At your service – Russian sauna with brooms and furako – heated Japanese font with running water. In the evening you will have a chef's welcome dinner.
Stage length: 100 km by motorboat and 8 km on foot.
Day 2 A helicopter excursion or ethnic program
Tourists who have pre-booked a helicopter tour will board a helicopter in the morning (the exact time of departure depends on weather conditions). You will fly over the deep canyons and make several landings to admire the scenic waterfalls. Please note that the helicopter tour is paid locally and will only take place if the weather is good.
If you haven’t booked a helicopter excursion, today after breakfast you will have an ethnic program. You will take part in a traditional ceremony in a chum, which will be held by a local shaman from the native peoples of Taimyr. After that, you will participate in a master class on creating a national souvenir from the horns of wild reindeer.
At lunch the whole group will gather at the homestead. In the afternoon you will have some free time. You can swim around the lake on a SUP-board – an inflatable board with a paddle, or packraft – inflatable kayak. You can rent fishing equipment and try to catch grayling from the motorboat or shore (extra charge). In the evening you will have a rite of initiation and master-classes of stroganina (raw meat slices) cooking. Then you will have dinner and go to the Russian sauna.
Day 3 Hike to South Neralakh waterfall
After breakfast you will gather at the chum again, where you will taste herbal teas and continue to learn about the culture of the indigenous people of the North.
After lunch, you will transfer to the other shore of Lama lake by hovercraft (20-30 min trip). From there you will start a hike to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the area on the South Neralakh River.
You will return to the guest house for dinner. If you want you can go to the sauna or take a bath in the font.
Stage length: 16 km by hovercraft and 3-4 km on foot.
Day 4 Climbing the plateau
Today you will have the most difficult trekking route with climbing to the plateau (if you wish and if the group is fit enough). After breakfast you will take a boat to the foot of Yuzhnaya (Rus. for "South") mount. From here you will walk first to the waterfall, then continue up the plateau along the mountain gorge, where the snow does not melt the whole year.
Climbing to the top, you will admire the magnificent views of the endless Putorana plateau. On the route you will have a small picnic in nature, then you start your way back. In guesthouse you can have your dinner and rest in the sauna.
Stage length: about 8 km on foot without climbing the plateau or 15 km – general trekking with climbing the plateau.
Day 5 Trekking along the Nikita-Yuryakh river
After breakfast you will take a speedboat to Kapchuk lake, the starting point of the hiking route.
You will cross the lake and come to the mouth of the Nikita-Yuryakh mount river flowing into it. Then with an experienced guide you will start hiking route to the cascade of waterfalls.
At the end of the trekking you will return to the mouth of the river, make a campfire and have dinner outside (a camping tent will be organized on the shore). If you wish we can organize fishing on spinning from the shore.
You will return to the guesthouse in the evening, have dinner, rest and can have a sauna.
Stage length: 21 km by boat, 2-3 km on foot.
Day 6 Climbing Festivalnaya Mount
After breakfast you will go to the Kamenny peninsula, where you can make a small ascent to the top of Festivalnaya mount. From there you can enjoy a magnificent view of the mountain serpentine of the Putorana plateau, Lama and Kapchuk lakes.
After lunch on the route you will return to the guesthouse. Grilled dishes are available for dinner. Then you can relax and warm up in the furako on the veranda.
Stage length: about 8 km on foot.
Day 7 A city tour in Norilsk
After breakfast you will take a boat back to Norilsk. At the city pier you will be met and taken to your hotel, where you can have some rest. Then you can go on a city tour with a local guide, who will introduce you to the industrial history of Norilsk. In the evening you will have dinner and return to your hotel (tour and dinner are paid additionally).
Day 8 Departure
In the morning after breakfast, you will be taken to the airport in Norilsk, from where you will depart home.
Accommodation during the trip
During the journey, you will spend 6 nights in "Firebird Farmstead" guest house. It is located on the shore of Lama lake. There is a two-storey wooden house and two smaller wooden houses. A toilet is located outside (by June 2021, a dry closet will also be installed in the house).
You will be accommodated in rooms of 2-3 people (depending on the size of the group). On the first floor of the main house there is a spacious hall with a fireplace, an equipped kitchen, a rest area with a TV, a game console and a music center. On the second floor – the bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, fold-out sofa, TV set. Living loggia with two one- and a half beds and panoramic windows adjoins the bedroom. It would be suitable for couples with children or a group of friends. The second bedroom has one double bed (may be transformed into two separate beds) and one single bed. A heated Japanese font with running river water is on the veranda of the house.
There are also two separate wooden houses with panoramic windows to accommodate guests. Each house has a double bed (can be transformed into two single beds), a folding armchair and a dry closet. On the territory of the guest house there is a Russian banya (sauna) with a spacious veranda, a BBQ gazebo and a chum – a traditional housing of the nomadic northern peoples. You can spend the night in the chum on any day of your stay.
The last night of the journey you will spend in Norilsk Hotel 3* situated in the city center. In a standard double/twin room there is a bathroom, comfortable furniture, a TV and the Internet. There is sauna, gym and snooker in the hotel.

Common questions
During the journey you will be accompanied by professional guides and instructors. On the trekking routes the group is accompanied by 2-3 instructors
The price includes three meals a day during the stay in the guest house. Breakfasts and dinners will be prepared by a professional cook. On days 4-6 lunch will be replaced by a picnic on the route.
You will try traditional fish and meat dishes, northern delicacies. You will have tea tastings and stroganina (raw meat slices) master classes.
Breakfast on the 1st day, lunch and dinner in Norilsk on the 7th day are extra paid.
On days 1, 7 and 8 in Norilsk you will travel by car or minibus (depending on how many people in your group).
The speed boat "Neptune 15" (for a group of 8 persons) or "Neptune 23" (for a group of 12 to 16 persons) will take you to and from the Lama lake.
On active day routes you will also travel by motorboat and hovercraft.
